Audi was out in the cold testing the new A6. Following the brand’s current design language, the new A6 is expected be much more aerodynamic than the model it replaces.
With small, but important differences, like mirrors affixed to the doors and a slipperier front end, the A6 will cut through the air much more smoothly, helping it onto better fuel economy.
Speaking of the front end, it’s also showing off a wide new grille with big headlights that we saw earlier in the month.
Under the hood, meanwhile, the A6 is expected to be powered by a range of four and six-cylinder engines. Even the S6 is expected to a V6, albeit a turbocharged one. Audi Sport, though, is not expected to be satisfied with so few cylinders, and is expected to fit Porsche’s 4.0-liter V8 into the RS6.
Inside it should have all of the futuristic tech we’ve come to expect from Audi, including the Virtual Cockpit, the new infotainment system, and a design theme that you’ll recognize from its big sisters, the A7 and A8.
Expect Audi to reveal the new A6 late next year, likely at the Paris Auto Show in October.
