The brand new A7 has been caught testing and it’s showing off new taillights that stretch across the whole rear of the car.
Up front, meanwhile, the cammo can’t hide sharp headlights and a hexagonal grille. The latest Marc Lichte design, this grille is supposed to be sharper and wider than the A8’s to highlight the A7’s sportiness.
Out back the new profile shares a lot in common with the A5 Sportback, with a notch cut out of the middle of the tail and a similarly sloping roof.
Slated to move over to the MLB platform, the new A7 should benefit from some weight loss, but just what will power it remains a mystery. Audi and Porsche’s twin-turbo V6, though, seems a likely candidate for S7 duty, since Audi is eager to put it into just about anything.
Expect the new A7 to debut near the end of the year with sales beginning early in 2018.
