We’ve come across a new collection of photographs of the Audi S3 Sportback. The car was already launched last spring at the Geneva Motor Show, but those keeping count will note that media haven’t yet driven the car. An event earlier this year pairing the S3 and the RS 6 Avant held in Munich did include Audi’s smallest S-car, but only in 3-door form. This likely explains the drop just ahead of Frankfurt.
If we had to guess, Audi will host another event ahead of Frankfurt for press from Europe and other markets where the car is intended to be sold. The U.S. is not yet on that list and the only Sportback currently locked in for American consumption is the A3 e-tron dual mode hybrid due in late 2014.
This new collection of S3 Sportback photos looks like standard PR photo issue. Included in that mix are a host of other cutaway and technical images to better tell the story of this 5-door S-car. We’ve added all of the shots to our S3 Sportback photo gallery linked at the bottom and to the right of this story.
